A sub-specialized radiology group serving Northwest Georgia and East Alabama, and the managing partner behind much of the region's imaging history.
Rome Radiology Group has read for this region for more than fifty years. We're a physician-owned practice of board-certified radiologists, each sub-specialized, so the person reading your study trained in exactly that area.
We read across twelve locations on our own Intelerad PACS, consult with referring physicians around the clock, and support a team of credentialed radiologist assistants. The work is unglamorous by design: careful, consistent, and built to last.
General radiology asks one person to read everything. We don't work that way. A chest CT goes to a thoracic radiologist; a brain MRI to a neuroradiologist; a musculoskeletal study to an MSK specialist.
It's more coordination on our end, and a more specific, more useful report on yours. Across General, Body, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional, and Emergency Radiology, the read is matched to the reader.
Every image lives on our own Intelerad PACS, giving each radiologist instant access to a patient's complete imaging history, not just today's scan.
3D volume rendering and multi-planar reconstruction are used where they help the read, in reading environments built for focus. We were the first Strategic Radiology practice in the Affiliate Program, and all of our sites are ACR accredited.
Rome Radiology Group begins reading for the region's hospitals and clinics.
The region's first spiral CT scanner, for faster, sharper cross-sectional imaging.
The first MRI in Rome, opening up detailed, radiation-free soft-tissue imaging.
The first PET and PET/CT, combining metabolic and anatomic imaging for oncology.
Twelve ACR-accredited locations, our own Intelerad PACS, and 24/7 consultation with referring physicians.
This is where we live, too. Our radiologists and staff support local scouting, schools, and charities across Floyd County and the surrounding area, because a practice that reads for a community should be part of it.
